The Rockingham County Partnership for
Economic & Tourism
Development is the lead agency in Rockingham County, North
Carolina charged with two key mandates:
- To facilitate the creation, recruitment
and expansion of business and industry.
- To increase tourism revenue in the county.
In short, our core mission is to create
jobs. In
order to accomplish that mission, we implement program
initiatives that will attract new capital, industrial investment,
foster quality job creation and increase visitors in Rockingham
County.
The Partnership is a public-private entity, which means
it is funded by the county and municipal governments as
well as private investors. The organization is governed
by a Board of
Directors that
includes representatives from each municipality, the county,
public organizations and private companies. Our six-person
staff implements
the programs and activities approved by the Board to strengthen
the future of this community.
