Home Savings Bank Supports Prosperity 2010 -

Wentworth, NC— The PROSPERITY 2010 campaign of the Rockingham County Partnership for Economic & Tourism Development received a big boost this week when Home Savings Bank announced its $50,000 investment pledge of support for the five-year economic growth program.
“The work of the Rockingham County Partnership is vital to the continuing economic growth of Rockingham County. Home Savings has been a strong supporter of the Partnership and, by our pledge, we are showing our commitment to strengthened support to enable our county to remain economically competitive,” said Tommy Flynt, managing officer and president of Home Savings Bank. “To be fully competitive, our county must have a first-class economic development team, which needs to be supported by both public and private entities. We’re pleased to be a part of this county-wide effort.”
Pam Cundiff, interim vice chair of the Partnership, was presented with the investment pledge from Home Savings Bank and a large facsimile check at an award center in Eden on December 1. She and Craig Cardwell, interim chair of the Partnership, declared, “The Partnership is very grateful for the willingness of Home Savings Bank to support key initiatives and organizations, including the Partnership, which strive to improve the quality of life in Rockingham County.”
Jonathan Jobe, senior vice president for Community Banking at Home Savings Bank, said “Home Savings Bank believes in Rockingham County and its potential for growth. We have supported the Partnership in the past and, through this pledge, we want to show our continuing support for the Partnership in the future. By supporting and working together, we can re-create prosperity in Rockingham County.”
