Our Existing Industry Program promotes a strong business environment by facilitating retention and expansion efforts of local employers and addressing workforce and operational concerns.

Components of our Existing Industry Program include:

• A corporate calling program on Rockingham County industrial businesses.
• An Existing Industry Roundtable Series.
• Technical assistance and support services such as:
  • Supplier recruitment
  • Workforce development/training programs
  • Workforce recruitment
  • Wage & benefit surveys
  • State & local incentive programs
  • Export assistance 

Workforce Development

Because today’s jobs require greater skills and more knowledge of technology, the Partnership is committed to making sure our local workforce receives the education and training needed to meet the needs of employers.  An important component of our existing industry program is working with local employers, the public school system and Rockingham Community College to develop training programs.  We act as a liaison between the companies, the schools and other community and state organizations to set up both general and customized workforce development programs.
