Custom tour now available on Travel North Carolina App
Wentworth, NC—The Rockingham County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) announces the launch of its “Play in Rockingham County” custom tour on Our State magazine’s Travel North Carolina app. “Play in Rockingham County” is the first custom tour on the app in the Piedmont Triad region. “We are very excited to launch the Rockingham County custom tour on the Travel North Carolina app,” said Robin Yount, vice president of Tourism. “Right now, ours is the first custom tour in the Triad region on the app and that puts our attractions front and center in the region. It will greatly increase visibility for Rockingham County and all the wonderful outdoor recreation attractions we have here.”
The TDA is the main host of the custom tour, which made it more affordable for the partner businesses or organizations to have a presence on the app.
“This app is a new product offered by Our State and we felt like we couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to participate and help make it more affordable for our local tourism-related businesses and organizations to participate as well,” added Yount. “We encourage everyone in the area to download it and spread the word to everyone you know. It’s a great tool for exploring Rockingham County as well as the whole state.”
The Travel North Carolina app is free and available for download in the App Store and Android Market. Tours may be streamed to save hard drive space or downloaded to enjoy without Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity.
