Wondering if it's good weekend to visit?
Check the weather and the USGS
river gauges below.
The linked
USGS gauges measure the depth (in feet) and volume (in
cubic feet per second -cfs-) of water in the river. Our
suggestions for minimum and maximum readings are intended
as guidelines only. They
do not guarantee that the river is runnable and or
safe for every paddler.
Minimum suggested level means that a solo
canoe or kayak should be able to navigate without having
to walk the shallower sections.
Maximum suggested level means that, if the reading falls
above that figure, the river is neither fun nor safe to run.
