Rockingham County is in the process of developing a 400-stall, regional, multi-purpose equestrian center, which is slated to be called “Horse Park of the South.” Following a feasibility study that indicated this area would be a prime location for such a center, the Board of Commissioners voted to move forward with the project. The county has secured most of the funding for the project and has begun construction of Phase I on the 152-acre property located off NC HWY 29 (Future I-785) in Reidsville.
